The February 6 chapter meeting was an online event and started with door prizes being selected by a random name picker. Dr. Stacy Black gave an inspirational message about wearing many hats in education. For roll call, members shared health tips. Kimberly Alexander presented a fabulous program concerning physical and mental health.
Chapter Meeting August 28, 2021
Our first face to face meeting since the pandemic was a joyous one! Five members joined us via Zoom. We had two special guests, Rebecca Hardeman, Director and County Extension Coordinator and Arolue Flemming, Gamma Alpha President. Mr. Ricky Clark, Jr. the Jonesboro city manager was our guest speaker. He is passionate about serving the people of Clayton County and a dynamic speaker. Debra Davis presented an inspirational moment and members brought items for her homeless community outreach work. We finalized future meeting details and service projects, and enjoyed an Olive Garden pasta station for lunch.
Chapter Meeting May 1, 2021
Our May 1 chapter meeting was another online event and Debra Davis shared an inspirational message about being "contagious." Door prizes for members who had paid dues before the meeting were selected with by a virtual wheel. Gail Goolsby, author of Unveiled Truth shared her experiences in Afghanistan.
Chapter Meeting November 6, 2021
Our meeting began with an inspiration message from Kathy Acree. Maureen Keillor presented information on beginning genealogy search. Cindy Thompson shared the award given for our support of the Ferst Foundation. We packed shoe boxes for Samaritan's Purse and collected materials for Debra Davis's homeless outreach. Members welcomed GSO Corresponding Secretary Betty Richardson via Zoom, Arlene Gamble, Bettie Feruzi, and Gamma Alpha President Arolue Prater.
